Recent updates for our next nights under the stars

A clear summary of timely notes so everyone can prepare quickly and enjoy the meetup with confidence.

  1. Observation night notice · This week

Start time moved slightly earlier for twilight setup

We will begin check-in just before dusk so beginners can get telescope alignment help while the sky is still bright enough for easy orientation.

  2. Weather advisory · Ongoing

Cloud cover updates will be posted by late afternoon

If conditions become unstable, we will shift to a short indoor sky-map session and keep the outdoor portion optional for those who wish to wait for breaks in the clouds.

  3. Seasonal sky event · Coming up

Early-evening focus on Orion and nearby winter stars

This session highlights easy-to-find constellation anchors, with quick guidance on star colors and brightness so new observers can practice confident sky navigation.

  4. Member reminder · Before arrival

Bring a red-light flashlight and a warm outer layer

Red light helps protect night vision for everyone, and extra layers make longer observing runs more comfortable during cooler evening winds.

Observe the next night sky with us.
